U2charist friends,

Please keep the St. George's U2charist team in your prayers this week as they head to Martha's Vineyard for MV's first U2charist, at the Tabernacle in Oak Bluffs this Thursday at 7 p.m. Our team has taken the U2charist on the road over a dozen times, but this is the first time it has been a lay-led effort (ie. without me :) ). Keep in your prayers especially Eric Hopkins, who will be preaching.

Eric has done a number of the ppts for various U2 songs, and a great MDG sermon that a number of you have used at your own U2charists. Along the way, Eric's heart and imagination have been captured by Playpumps International. Must be the dad and school teacher in him. Playpumps is a very cool NGO worthy of your investigation... And you can do so by checking out their current PSA contest, in which Eric Hopkins is a finalist. And if you are so moved, you can vote for Eric Hopkins in the PSA contest as well!

Along this U2charist journey I've met a delightful bunch of characters (some of you among them ;) ) and one of those characters is Pavel Sfera, a Bono impersonator ( http://www.bonodouble.com). Pavel has a heart for Jesus and a heart for loving his neighbor, and he has asked me to let you know that he is excited about offering his services for your U2charist.

Peace, friends. And as always, thank you for everything you are doing to spread the Good News of what God is doing through the efforts toward the Millennium Development Goals,
Paige+

Power without love is reckless and abusive, and love without power is sentimental and anemic. Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice, and justice at its best is power correcting everything that stands against love.
